The manufacturing of capacitors, particularly aluminum electrolytic types, involves energy-intensive steps. Studies indicate that nearly 80% of the carbon footprint in aluminum electrolytic capacitor production comes from electricity consumption, primarily during the aluminum foil etching and forming (anodization) stages. 




In response, our factory has initiated a multi-faceted approach:

 

1. Process Optimization for Energy Efficiency: We are investing in modern etching and forming equipment with higher energy efficiency. By optimizing parameters like current density and electrolyte management, we aim to reduce power consumption per unit of foil produced without compromising the critical surface area or dielectric quality.

 

2. Material Innovation and Selection: We are evaluating new materials that contribute to sustainability. This includes exploring the use of advanced water-based solvents and binders in our processes and partnering with foil suppliers who are innovating with more efficient materials, such as novel powder-sintered foils that may reduce process steps. For our film capacitors, we prioritize the use of environmentally friendly film materials and encapsulation resins.

 

3. Resource Management and Recycling: We have implemented strict systems to manage chemical byproducts from etching and forming, ensuring proper treatment and recycling where possible. Furthermore, we promote the recycling of aluminum scrap generated during production.

 

Our commitment is aligned with broader industry trends toward "decarbonization" and the development of low-carbon footprint capacitor materials.
